What to Wear

All students are required to wear proper clothing to dance class. Regulation dance attire allows the best freedom of movement for all dancers and gives their teacher the best view of body alignments for correction. It also adds a professional appearance to class.

Female Dancers

Ballet - Solid colored leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair should be secured back and off the neck, preferably in a bun. Technique only students are required to wear a black leotard, neutral sports bra, and a bun.

Jazz - Sports bra, half top, crop top, tank top, leotard, dance shorts, leggings, and jazz shoes. Dance sneakers will only be allowed for hip-hop classes and working out.

Technique only students are not allowed to wear athletic shorts or joggers/sweatpants.

Tap - Same attire as jazz with tap shoes.

Male Dancers

Ballet – A fitted t-shirt, solid-colored shorts or joggers/sweatpants, and black ballet shoes.

Jazz - Same attire as ballet with black jazz shoes. Dance sneakers will only be allowed for hip hop classes and working out.

Tap - Same attire as jazz with tap shoes.

Parent/Guardian Observation Days

Viewing areas are open for the entire month of September. After that, they will remain closed except for the following dates: October 14th-19th, January 11th-16th, and May 10th-15th. Parent/Guardian Observation Days will be twice a year, in which guardians will be able to view classes from a TV in the lobby and the lunchroom. These dates are December 9th-14th and March 10th-15th. Parents/Guardians may also sit in technique classes during these two dates.

Inclement Weather

In the event of the studio closing due to weather conditions or the possibility of dangerous conditions, we will send out a notification via Team App as soon as we make a decision and post to our social media channels. While we try to make a determination on class cancelations by 2:00pm, on the day in question, it is not always possible.

For the quickest and most up to date info, make sure you are receiving our Team App notifications via app and email AND make sure you follow us on both Facebook and Instagram.

We also post studio closings to local TV news channels and our studio voicemail machine.

It is our #1 priority to keep our dance families and studio faculty SAFE when it comes to possible inclement weather. Remember, we have a good amount of inexperienced teen drivers and also faculty commuting from different areas around STL.

If we do have to cancel classes due to weather, then classes will be made up over our Spring Break.
